About Us

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. That’s one of the things you can count on from Bay Cove. Along with compassionate, coordinated care tailored just for you – where you are, when you need it.

Bay Cove’s Behavioral Health and Wellness Center on Cape Cod serves as a hub of coordinated and integrated mental health and substance use disorder treatment for individuals across the Cape—from Bourne to Provincetown.

Our team of caring, highly-trained clinicians provide routine and urgent care outpatient services for children and adults. This includes mental health support, substance abuse treatment and crisis stabilization. Our team is available in our clinic, at your home, in hospital emergency departments, and in our schools and communities.

Asking for help takes courage, but it’s the most powerful first step you can take. With one simple phone call, we will help you start the journey towards a better tomorrow. You are not alone – let us put the power of our resources behind you.

Our Beginnings

Bay Cove Human Services began in 1974 as a single program—Andrew House, a medically-supervised alcohol detoxification unit. In the nearly 45 years since, the agency has expanded its services to include a wider continuum of treatment options for people with substance use disorder, as well as programs for individuals challenged by intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness, aging, homelessness, or some combination of all of the above. Today, Bay Cove encompasses more than 170 program locations throughout Greater Boston/southeastern Massachusetts, employing a staff of over 2,000 human service professionals.

In 2018, Bay Cove began operating our Cape Cod Behavioral Health Urgent Care program, serving communities throughout Cape Cod and the Islands. These emergency services provide 24/7 mental health crisis intervention to individuals of all ages in the community, in hospital emergency departments, and in schools.

The No Wrong Door Philosophy

No Wrong Door is an initiative designed to connect individuals and/or families with the appropriate service they need in a manner that is streamlined, effective and seamless, even if that service is not offered by an organization.

The philosophy behind the No Wrong Door initiative has been adopted by human service providers and non-profit organizations across the United States and around the world, and it is an approach that The Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center shares.

No Wrong Door means that we encourage anyone experiencing any crisis situation to contact us. We want to help. If the situation is something that our clinicians are equipped and trained to help with—either in the community, wherever you are, or at our program facility—we will. If you require a service that we do not provide, we will act as a facilitator to connect you with the help that you need from another nearby service provider.

Put at its simplest, if you need help, but are unsure where to turn, contact us. We will help you find what you need!

We Are Here For You 24/7/365
